Sponsoring a training program for our beading cooperatives is a wonderful way for you or your organization to extend a hand to women whose lives will be changed by your financial support. Currently we have programs in nine camps and in the Gulu municipality. Sponsorships enable us to expand Paper to Pearls to new camps, as well as offer training to women who would like to join our existing cooperatives.
Because of interest in our New Horizons programs, we are introducing sponsorships for those who would like to make larger gifts and designate that their contribution be used for training. Our sponsorships are $ 500 and support such programs as:
- initial training in bead making
- refresher training to fine tune bead making skills
- training in savings and cash management
As part of your sponsorship, you will receive a written record of the training and pictures and names of the trainees, as well as a packet of necklaces made by the beaders. We would also like to highlight our individual and organizational sponsors on this website and in our e-newsletters. In addition, we encourage sponsors to provide us with photographs and/or letters that we can share with the beaders. They are greatly interested in knowing who you are!
